In 1973, the human right of abortion access was secured by the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2022, this same right was taken away. This bright green colorway is dedicated to folks fighting for abortion access and is designed to go with the The Autonomy Cowl by @romidesigns. A 100-gram, 245-yard DK-weight skein is enough to complete the cowl with significant yardage left over for other projects (or a second cowl!).

In 2022, the Cesium Yarn community raised over $800 for the New River Abortion Access Fund with the sale of this colorway! You helped provide life-saving care for people in Virginia. Thank you!

This colorway is created by hand with commercial-grade dyes. Est. 1973 is dyed to order and has a turnaround time of up to four weeks.

Dyed to Order

Dyed-to-order colorways are made especially for you and have a turnaround time of up to four weeks. If you need something faster, browse our ready-to-ship colorways.

Hand-Dyed Colors

We do our best to take our photos under consistent conditions so you can accurately compare colorways. Different monitors show colors differently, so results may vary based on your computer screen. As with all hand-dyed yarns, variation from skein to skein is normal and to be expected. If you are ordering multiple skeins of the same colorway, we will dye them together or consecutively to minimize variation, but please consider alternating between the skeins throughout your work for the most consistent finished object.

Care Instructions

All yarn is pre-washed in our studio to minimize color bleeding, but should be washed separately or with like colors for the first several washes. We always suggest washing your finished objects by hand in cool water and allowing them to air dry for best results.

Allergy Info

Cesium Yarn fibers are dyed in a pet-free studio in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Returns & Exchanges

We do not accept returns or exchanges on our hand-dyed yarns, but please let us know if you have a problem and we will do our best to make it right.
