FAQ
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We are a small, family-run business and aren’t able to accommodate returns and exchanges. If you have a problem with your yarn, please let us know by emailing us at info@cesiumyarn.com and we will do our best to make it right. See our full return policy here.
Are your wool yarns mulesing free?
Yes. We only work with suppliers who commit to mulesing-free practices.
Is your shop smoke-free?
Yes. All our yarn is dyed and stored in a smoke-free environment. From our suppliers to your mailbox, your yarn will remain safe from smoke contamination.
Is your shop pet-free?
No. Our dye studio is free from pets, but your yarn will share an environment with our shop dog Pixie. We don’t allow pets on the yarn, but we all know animal fur is the less-sparkly equivalent of fairy dust. If you have animal allergen questions or concerns, please contact us. We understand allergies and want to make our yarn as accessible to you and stress-free as possible.
Where can I find details on your fiber bases?

I have something specific in mind. Can you do a custom order?
Yes! We love bringing your ideas into reality. Please send us a message.
If my order includes both ready-to-ship and dyed-to-order skeins, will they ship together or separately? How long will I have to wait to receive them?
All of the items in your order will ship together when the last item is ready. Our dyed-to-order yarn has a turnaround time of up to four weeks, though we try to get your items to you as quickly as possible. Preorders have a turnaround time of twelve weeks. If you want your ready-to-ship items sooner, you can place two separate orders. See our full shipping policy here.
Why don’t you carry nonsuperwash bases?
We’ve found that people don’t often buy nonsuperwash fibers from us online. We occasionally stock nonsuperwash bases in our ready-to-ship yarns. If you’d like some of our dyed-to-order yarn in a nonsuperwash base, contact us and we can arrange a custom order at the same prices as superwash.
