"Safely tucked under the stairs in a cozy cabin by sea lives a small craft nook. I’m not sure exactly what its proper name is. Grandma calls it “the desk,” so probably that. But I think of it as the craft nook. I never used it as a desk. For me, it was the home of crayons, coloring books, drawing paper, and just, you know, craft stuff. It’s the craft nook. 

Below those treasures sits the homiest contact paper with dainty little flowers in shades of orange, yellow, and olive green. I asked my grandmother what the story behind it was, and she said she probably just got tired of it being bare one day and decided to fix the problem. It really completes the craft nook, don’t you think? 

I remember using the craft nook as my hub on our trips to the cabin. I drew masterpieces with supplies from that craft nook. Unparalleled works of art. Even though it’s just a small little cupboard, it supports the heavy weight of my memories exceptionally well."

Dyed to Order

Dyed-to-order colorways are made especially for you and have a turnaround time of up to four weeks. If you need something faster, browse our ready-to-ship colorways.

Hand-Dyed Colors

We do our best to take our photos under consistent conditions so you can accurately compare colorways. Different monitors show colors differently, so results may vary based on your computer screen. As with all hand-dyed yarns, variation from skein to skein is normal and to be expected. If you are ordering multiple skeins of the same colorway, we will dye them together or consecutively to minimize variation, but please consider alternating between the skeins throughout your work for the most consistent finished object.

Care Instructions

All yarn is pre-washed in our studio to minimize color bleeding, but should be washed separately or with like colors for the first several washes. We always suggest washing your finished objects by hand in cool water and allowing them to air dry for best results.
